Planet Abilene was formed by a group of computer technicians in Abilene, Tx. We have all known each other for a few years or longer because, well, Abilene is a small town in West Texas and there are not many computer technicians around.
Prem0, Torsades, Gunstar601, Sameaal, and Thrash are the founding members of the group. At present we all work together and that evolved into us playing compuer games together. We all have different backgrounds in what games are our favorites but we enjoy fragging the hell out of each other.
Our group is comprised of older gamers and our youngest member is 21y/o and our oldest, well lets just say he is older. We prefer to game with a more mature crowd and are helpful of less experienced players at the games we play well.
We are all currently playing Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead and are pretty new to this ourselves. Most of us were either UT or Quake players back in the day so first person shooters are our core. There are a few of us that are pretty hard core rpgers and play single player as well as MMO's. We will be playing Star Trek Online or The Old Republic once those are released. We have also all beaten Fallout 3 recently and are eagerly awaiting the DLC.
